Frequently Asked Questions
Here is a collection of commonly asked questions regarding Forever MX-5 Magazine.
1. Why do you charge 50% more for Canadian subscriptions and nearly 100% more for International?
Our additional costs to post copies and manage customers outside the US greatly exceeds the additional price we request for those subscriptions. Regardless of the value of a particular countries currency, our costs are what they are. Did you know that a subscription for the UK Magazine, Top Gear, sent to a USA destination is $175/year?
2. How long will it take to receive my first issue?
That depends on when your subscription entered the "cycle." In general, we send out two batches of magazines for every issue, so no one should ever have to wait longer than 8 weeks to receive their first magazine. Of course, we cannot control the post, and we've experienced -- fairly regularly -- magazines taking up to four weeks to reach their destinations once we hand the off to the USPS. If you call the USPS they will claim that this is not possible, however, our years of experience reveal quite an opposite reality.
3. I can buy a subscription from Amazon.com, Carzines.com and direct from Forever MX-5. Which should I choose?
Amazon.com takes a large "marketing" chuck out of our subscriptions, and takes several weeks to transmit them to us. Though they offer some great customer service options, it is also the slowest method to get your subscription entered. We own Carzines.com, so that is a good choice. However, for fastest service our direct subscription page is always best.
4. My issue never arrived or was damaged when it did.
Complete a replacement request form. This, unfortunately, happens to a small percentage of every batch we mail. We assure you that we will make sure you receive every issue you have coming.
If you've changed addresses, you MUST notify us. A large majority of missing issues are because our customers did not change their address with us. A USPS forward request does not guarantee that you will have your magazines forwarded. In fact, from our experience, the USPS only forwards a very small percentage of magazines when a forwarding is requested. Don't risk it, tell us if your address has changed! (Use our change of address form.)
5. How do I get my car featured in your magazine?
Send us snap shots and a brief email of what makes your car special. Include specs and stories, as relevant. If you know a local photographer or writer, have them contact us. For more information or to suggest your car for an editorial feature, send an email to jeff at mediaspigot.com
